Last night we upgraded our site with the latest versions of some of the modules we use for myWhidbey, including the Organic Groups module. We also installed an image preview module that enhances the image viewing experience. Lastly, we re-designed the front page and added new colors to welcome the Fall.
The Organic Groups module is now a very stable feature of our site. Members can create any number of groups on topics such as knitting, windsurfing, grass-root movements, etc. Each group receives a private calendar of events and a setting for posting messages for group members, and we hope to add more Group-related features in the coming weeks. To create a group, click on the "Groups" link at the top of this page and follow the instructions.
The image thumbnails on myWhidbey are now linked to a preview module called "Lightbox". Click on any image to see the effect in action. The module supports keyboard shortcuts that come in handy when viewing multiple images on a page. We should point out that this module has some issues with the Safari web browser, so we recommend using Firefox instead.
Finally, you may or may not like the new Fall colors for myWhidbey. We have good news for those who would rather have a more muted color option; you can change the site's theme using the "myWhidbey themes" block at the bottom-right corner of this page. Currently, only "Spring" and "Autumn" are available, but we'll be adding more themes shortly.

theme switcher disabled
Oops... we found a bug in the theme switcher code that is forcing us to disable this feature for now. We'll take a look at the code to see if we can fix it; in the meantime, please let us know what you think of the fall color theme for myWhidbey.
